My route into computing began in civil and environmental engineering at the University of Leeds. Design projects, lab work and fieldwork taught me to think analytically, work in teams, and approach complex problems the way an engineer does.

As my interest in computing grew, I moved to Computer Science at Leeds Beckett to learn how software can turn ideas into practical, creative and scalable things. I learn best by building: turning an idea into a working project, understanding how it works behind the scenes, then testing and improving it.

Alongside my studies I’ve represented students, worked with professional bodies like ICE and CIOB, and helped run student communities. I want to combine strong technical skills with the communication and leadership I’ve built along the way.

“Learn broadly, build thoughtfully, and keep improving.”
